PUGET SOUND MARITIME HISTORICAL SOCIETY is on the MOVE!

The Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society, along with other members of the Pacific Northwest Maritime Heritage Council and the maritime news website Three Sheets Northwest, have jointly launched the Northwest Maritime Heritage site at this location. The online resource allows users to quickly find all of the region's historic ships, lighthouses, maritime museums, archives and events to help them explore the region’s nautical past.

We are pleased to be partnering with MOHAI in the development of the Maritime Gallery within MOHAI’s new museum at South Lake Union. The grand opening is scheduled for late 2012. Visit MOHAI’s website for additional information.

Artifact donations - Because of the move we are unable to accept any donations of artifacts, photographs, ephemera, etc. at this time. The process of packing the collection has begun and will take the next six months to complete. Please contact Executive Director Karen Marshall at 206.324.1126 x 41 or admin@pugetmaritime.org  if you have questions.

RESEARCHERS PLEASE NOTE! The PSMHS Research Library & Archives is moving!  With MOHAI, our partner organization, we closed down our patron  research and photo orders on March 1, 2012 and patron research on  March 22, 2012 to pack for our relocation.  All ship plans are now packed and are not accessible. We apologize for any inconvenience. Our new location will be announced in the coming months and we hope to have our Maritime Research Center open by late summer 2012.
