Membership to PSM is about being part of and celebrating our maritime community, heritage, and culture. Join our crew to receive our monthly newsletter, our maritime heritage journal The Sea Chest, passes to MOHAI, and discounts in our shop and on research services.
Donations help us with every aspect of our operations – from staffing and program development, to collections preservation and scholarship funds. Or support the Charting Our Course fund, which will help us create new technology for our exhibits in MOHAI’s McCurdy Family Maritime Gallery.

Volunteering with PSM is a great way to get involved in the maritime heritage community! We have volunteer opportunities available for all levels of ability and most areas of interest – working with photographs, research, library books, archives, public events, ships plans, database work, communications, fundraising, and more!
Are you a student in Museology, History, Library Sciences or other related fields? We have several internships available and are always open to working with you to find something that you’d love. Consider an internship where you gain valuable experience and your work really makes an impact!
