The Sea Chest Maritime Journal
An Official Publication of the PSMHS
The Sea Chest, the journal of Pacific Northwest maritime history: Established in 1967, the journal’s purpose has been to record the maritime history of greater Puget Sound, British Columbia and Alaska. We seek a scholarly blend of researched material and first-hand experiences to appeal to both the historian and general reader.
Our widely-regarded maritime journal, formerly published quarterly, changed to tri-annual publication beginning in 2017. A subscription is included with the “Navigator” to “Admiral” levels of membership in Puget Sound Maritime, known previously known as the Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society, PSMHS.
